Our LLM students travelled to Belgrade and Pristina where they met a wide range of experts and institutions who work in the fields of international humanitarian law, human rights, international criminal law, transitional justice and migration. Alongside, they also had the opportunity to discover a new region and culture!
Robert Roth, Director of the Geneva Academy and Professor of International Criminal Law tells us about the programme and its novelties for the upcoming academic year.
This short course will focus on five particular categories of challenges of international criminal justice: legal or normative, investigative and evidential, political, the defence, and the legacy.

This short course provides an introduction to the regime of sanctions under international law and their effectiveness in addressing contemporary forms of conflict. It addresses the questions related to state responsibility, the pacific settlement of international disputes and the role of the International Court of Justice.
