Juan José Lozano is a Swiss-Colombian Author and Filmmaker. His films tell stories linked to human rights violations, justice and impunity.
UNWANTED WITNESS (2008), IMPUNITY (2010) or CRIME HUNTERS (2014) were screened and awarded in many film festivals such as Toronto, IDFA, Rotterdam, Toulouse and Visions du Réel. His last film, SABOBAL (a 2015 thriller made out of a 13 episodes animation series) was selected in official competition at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival 2015.
His first novel, AQUI NO PASA NADA, was published by the Editions Albatros in Geneva in 2013. As an expert, he was part of the national Colombian film commission, the Film Development Fund (FDC) in 2014 and 2015.
Since 2008, he’s a partner with Intermezzo Films in Geneva.
The Transitional Justice Spring School 2017 aims to address the roles of memory and culture in transitional justice processes through an interdisciplinary, comprehensively structured high-quality one-week programme.
