Dr Pádraig McAuliffe is a Senior Lecturer and Associate Head of the School of Law and Social Justice at the University of Liverpool.

His main research interests include transitional justice, the rule of law and the legibility of neopatrimonial practices in transitional justice and international human rights institutions.

He has published in the International Journal of Transitional Justice, the Journal of International Law and International Relations, the Journal of Human Rights Practice and the Journal of International Criminal Justice, amongst others.

He is the author of ‘Transitional Justice and Rule of Law Reconstruction: A Contentious Relationship’ (Routledge, 2013) and ‘Transformative Transitional Justice and the Malleability of Post-Conflict States’ (Edward Elgar 2017).
