Julia Raue works at Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, currently assisting the mandate of the Special Rapporteur on the promotion of truth, justice, reparation and guarantees of non-recurrence (transitional justice).
She has also focused on topics of state-building, constitutional reform, counter-terrorism and security issues, including accountability of private military and security companies, and the administration of justice.
Dr Raue previously worked with the Council of Europe’s Venice Commission, NGOs in the Russian Federation and academia. She lectured on human rights law at the University of St. Gallen.
She holds a PhD in Law from the University of St. Gallen.
