Alessandra is a Teaching Assistant at the Geneva Academy and she is pursuing a PhD in International Law at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies. Her doctoral research focuses on detention by armed groups in armed conflict and her interests encompass international humanitarian, human rights, and criminal law. Alessandra holds a law degree from Bocconi University and has previously worked for a defence team at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, for the International Labour Organization, and as research assistant at the University of Geneva.
