Firouzeh Mitchell is a Teaching Assistant at the Geneva Academy. Her research focuses on transitional justice, counter-terrorism, and international criminal law.
She previously interned at the United Nations Mechanism for International Criminal Tribunals in Arusha, Tanzania, working on cases from both the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda and the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia. She also assisted REDRESS in creating a jurisprudence database covering international and regional torture cases from the past 5 years and was an assistant contributor for ICL 2016-2017 Media Review.
Firouzeh holds a MAS in Transitional Justice, Human Rights and the Rule of law from the Geneva Academy and an LLB (with Honours) from the University of Glasgow, Scotland.
