This dashboard uncovers crucial insights into the functioning of different aspects of Equality Bodies’ (EBs) operations across Europe. The dashboard compares EBs according to:

• the sectors covered by EBs (public and/or private institutions);
• their legal standing before the courts;
• the functions they perform;
• the fields of life and grounds of discrimination they cover;
• other mandates held by these institution;
• their presence in local/regional offices;
• their management structures;
• the accountability of these institutions.

Equinet currently does not have data on who might be using this tool and for what purposes. However, the tool was created with the aim of serving different audiences as follows:

• National Equality Bodies: to benchmark against counterpart institutions, identify operational gaps or peer examples, and shape advocacy agendas.
• Equality stakeholders: civil society, researchers, and policy-makers, to analyze national disparities and spotlight best legal frameworks or practices.
• Publicly interested audiences: academics, journalists, and other equality stakeholders, to explore country-specific protections and institutional setups.
