Teaching at the Geneva Academy has been an extremely enriching experience, both as a professional and as a human being. The quality of courses taught in the context of the LLM is very high and allows students to gather a solid academic knowledge, as well as a critical appraisal of contemporary issues of international humanitarian, human rights and criminal law.
Core courses provide a solid legal basis and understanding of public international law, international humanitarian law, international human rights law, international refugee law and international criminal law.
This unique series of events relating to military institutions and the law aims to improve our students’ knowledge of military actors and operations.
Our LLM students can participate in two moot courts, the prestigious Jean-Pictet Competition on international humanitarian law and the Nuremberg Moot Court Competition.
Our LLM students have the opportunity to acquire first-hand professional experience via internships with Geneva-based humanitarian and human rights actors
