Claire Simmons conducts research on investigations in situations of armed conflict under the directorship of Professor Noam Lubell, Swiss Chair of International Humanitarian Law at the Geneva Academy.

She previously worked as a research assistant on refugee law and the protection of displaced persons for Professor Geoff Gilbert at the University of Essex. She has also worked with the British Red Cross and local human rights organizations in Thailand, France and the UK.

Claire Simmons holds an LLM in International Human Rights Law and Humanitarian Law from the University of Essex.
