Yulia Mogutova is a Teaching Assistant at the Geneva Academy and a PhD candidate at the Law Faculty, University of Geneva. Her research focuses on the management of natural resources in armed conflicts.

Before joining the Geneva Academy, Yulia has been working as a Legal Adviser with Regional Delegation of the International Committee the Red Cross (ICRC) for the Russian Federation, Belarus and Moldova. Among other projects, she was involved in international humanitarian law (IHL) dissemination and working with academic circles and think-tanks as well as on IHL implementation at the national level.

Yulia holds LLM in International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights from the Geneva Academy and a Specialist Degree in Law from Kutafin Moscow State Law University with the specialization in International Energy Law. Apart from working with the ICRC, she has professional experience in the private sector and academic sphere.
