Zoi Lafazani is a Teaching Assistant at the Geneva Academy, a Teaching and Research Assistant at the Law Faculty of the University of Geneva and a PhD candidate at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies.
Her doctoral research focuses on the complex legal landscape regulating the use of armed force in occupied territories and on questions of conflict classification.
She previously worked as an Associate and as a Legal Adviser at the Legal Division of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and as an intern at Geneva Call.
Zoi holds an LLM from the Geneva Academy, from where she received the Best LLM Paper Award for 2019, and a Law Degree from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She is fluent in English, French, Spanish, Russian and Greek and has a basic knowledge of Arabic.
