New Season of In and Around War(s) Podcast Coming Soon

17 April 2024

A new season of our podcast In and Around War(s) will launch soon with a series of discussions on topical issues related to the law around armed conflicts. This third season welcomes a new host, Research Fellow Eugénie Duss, who will meet with experts on a range of subjects related to the work of the Geneva Academy.

‘The episodes in the upcoming series of the podcast will share a theme of how the legal frameworks of international humanitarian law, international human rights law and international criminal law can better protect the lives of those affected by armed conflicts. Some of these will be linked to our regular IHL Talks, but we may also address other contemporary issues. We are also hoping to link some discussions later in the year to the 75th Anniversary of the Geneva Conventions’, explains Dr Duss.

In the first episode we will be joined by Mark Zeitoun from Geneva Water Hub and Abby Zeithfrom the International Committee of the Red Cross who spoke at our recent IHL Talk ‘The Weaponizing of Water in Contemporary Armed Conflicts’. The podcast will aim to continue and develop the discussions covered at the event and add further reflection to the subjects covered.

The podcast is available on our website and YouTube channel, as well as on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and Soundcloud.
