Juliette Graf is a Research Collaborator for the IHL in Focus Project at the Geneva Academy.

Before joining the Geneva Academy, Juliette worked with IMPACT Initiatives, leading humanitarian research projects in Haiti, Iraq, and Colombia. Her fieldwork focused on understanding local needs and vulnerabilities, helping aid organizations design more targeted assistance strategies. She emphasizes an inclusive research approach by integrating gender and social factors to ensure that diverse populations are accurately represented and supported.

Prior to this, Juliette monitored security developments in the Commonwealth at the Commonwealth Security Group, examining the interplay among climate change, food insecurity, and terrorism. She also served as a legal intern with UNICEF under the End Violence Partnership, conducting country-specific research into child protection laws and regional policy developments.

Juliette holds a BA in Political Science from McGill University and an MA in Conflict Resolution in Divided Societies from King’s College London. During her studies, she was an active researcher for the Heidelberg Institute of Conflict Research, specializing in monitoring conflict dynamics in Afghanistan and the Iran-Sunni militant groups.
